Wilderness Medicine & Survival Training for Backcountry Aviators.
You insure your airplane. Why not insure yourself?
Plan
Planning for an off airport landing should be a part of every backcountry flight. What’s in your survival kit? What do you wear? How do you plan your route? How do you brief your passengers?
Prepare
Do you have experience with first aid and hemorrhage control? Educating yourself on self-aid, buddy care, and survival techniques are integral to a successful outcome.
Practice
Reading a survival book is great. That online forum has great advice from some old timers. But do you have practical experience? Have you splinted broken bones and built fires in the snow?
